Whether it is the stress or what, I've been feeling kind of sentimental, so I thought I'd clear this up:

I've seen many people debating the issue of whether or not Danny Phantom (the show) should be brought back after it's cancellation. I've heard so many sentiments, and I have to say that I agree with both sides: those who would leave it be, and choose to remember it in fondness, and those who want to bring it back.

As many of you may or may not know, I always put "Save Danny Phantom" at the end of my artists' comments. I do this for a reason, and I feel it is time to elaborate on that.

I would like to see Danny Phantom revived. Not forever, but long enough for a basic "re-do" of the last season. There were so many good ideas, storylines, and characters that did not get developed, and actually many that fell through the cracks.

Danny Fenton and his high school trouble became practically nonexistent, as Danny PHANTOM did become the star of the show. Tucker was so third-wheeled that he became practically nonexistent as well, and Sam became a total Mary Sue. Danny and Sam's relationship was far too rushed, and too many new concepts (blood blossoms, ice powers, etc. ) and characters (Nocturne, Amorpho, Undergrowth, etc.) were introduced to quickly for enjoyment.

So if I had any preference, it would be that they could at least pretend like season 3 never happened, to remake it ONLY IN THE SURETY THAT THEY COULD PRESERVE THE QUALITY OF THE FIRST SEASONS!

I am all for the bringing back and elaboration of characters and ideas that did not get much time for development. Otherwise, if they cannot do so, then it is with a heavy heart that I would accept it's cancellation.

However, I will NEVER forget the show, nor the quality of the first season and it's characters. If I look hard enough, I know there are good aspects of each season. If any good has come out of the cancellation, I believe it is within the thriving fanbase it continues to have, the fandom it has created.

I am happily part of a fandom and fan base that knows, remembers, and commemorates my loyalty, not only to this show, but to all the shows like it, the ones that preserved quality, story, character.

So as to bringing back Danny Phantom as a show, I say that they bring it back the best, or not at all. I will ALWAYS support the show, no matter what.

I hope that cleared some things up, and feel free to ask questions. Thanks everyone!

Edit: Okay, I've decided: How can they improve the quality?? BRAINSTORMING!!! Here are some of my thoughts in general:

- Like in "Masters of All Time", Danny could fall ill to the blood blossoms, not only leaving his parents confused, but also requiring that Jazz, Tucker, and Sam must now become the stars of the show, and basically save Danny (so, like a reversal of the plot in "Masters of All Time")

- Nocturne seems quite like a formidable foe, and that particular episode bordered on "Inception" for me; I feel they could have lengthened it out somehow...

- There could be a few more Tucker and Sam - centric episodes; if he could not develop Danny any further, why not his friends? Why not his parents? Why not move beyond his character?

I know there are more, but for right now, this is all my mind is giving me... ;p

Because logic is apparently not present in DP season 3. |D

I agree with most of the things you said. :aww: I believe it was season 3 that led to many people thinking that DxS was not meant to be, because the relationship was so rushed.

Sometimes I think it's because of the cancellation factor that caused season 3 to turn out so bad. Nickelodeon's fault. :ohnoes:
